Toni Braxton: Woman (Video) + “Pulse” ...

I just got through watching the video to Woman by Toni Braxton, and even though I love this song, I think they should’ve added more scenes. I loves me some Toni, but it doesn’t seem like she is getting the attention she deserves. We hardly hear about her new album Pulse (which is GOOD by the way.)

I’ve had Pulse playing in my car for the past week & she has some nice tracks on it. If you’re truly into R&B, you’ll appreciate Toni’s new album. I like every single song, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a fan. I even love “If I Have To Wait” and I’m not that crazy about Country music. I can’t pick a favorite, because I can play the whole album without skipping to the next track.

If you haven’t already picked up “Pulse” yet, go get it! Check out the tracklist below & preview the album HERE

Pulse Tracklist:
1. Yesterday
2. Make My Heart
3. Hands Tied
4. Woman
5. If I Have To Wait
6. Lookin’ At Me
7. Wardrobe
8. Hero
9. No Way
10. Pulse
11. Why Won’t You Love Me

Movie Review: The Karate Kid

I went to see “The Karate Kid” today (I’m late, I know), and I don’t have too much to say, other than the fact that I enjoyed it. Will & Jada have definitely passed the acting skills down to Jaden Smith, because that lil boy there can act! Jackie Chan was also looking cute – Don’t judge me! Last week, The Karate Kid opened at the No. 1 spot in the box office with $56 million. It’s worth it, so if you haven’t already gone to see “The Karate Kid” yet, go see it!

[Side Note] I loved the hairstyle Taraji P. Henson rocked in the movie! If you know me, you I love natural hair, and this is the type of hair I’ve been looking for. You can wear it curly, straight, in a ponytail, part it in different ways & all. I need to find this Indian hair, along with a good stylist to install it for me, baybeh!

Movie Review: Why Did I Get Married Too?

Lawd, when I say y’all need to go see this movie, I mean it! I can’t really give the review I want, because I’ll be telling the movie (and I can’t do that to y’all).

There were so many shocks in this movie, you wouldn’t even know it’s a Tyler Perry film. This man did his ‘thang’ with this film though, seriously. I will definitely be purchasing this movie when it comes to DVD, and don’t be surprised if I go see it twice.. Yea, it’s that good lol

After seeing Why Did I Get Married Too, I had to ask myself, “Do I even wanna get married?!” lmao.. I’ll have my Youtube video about the movie uploaded SOON, so look out for that. Y’all hurry up & go see the movie so that we can talk about it!

If you’ve already seen the movie, post your thoughts; but DON’T TELL THE MOVIE!

Music Review: Alicia Keys – The Element Of F...

Let me just say this.. If you haven’t already heard or purchased Alicia Keys’, “The Elements Of Freedom” album, you need to GET IT! There’s not one track that I don’t like on it. It’s been in my playlist, since it was released back in December. “Wait Til You See My Smile” is one of the most played, I just love it!

I know you’re probably like, “Why is she just now doing a review for this album?”.. Well to answer that question: I didn’t think about it until today :) *Kanye Shrug*

Book Review: Sleeping With The Enemy

Sleeping With The Enemy is a street lit fiction, written by bestselling authors, Wahida Clark & Kiki Swinson. Both novellas are about women who are betrayed and want revenge..

Here’s a brief on the books:

Enemy in My Bed
WAHIDA CLARK

She rules the weed scene in Memphis, USA. But Kreesha can’t control the dangerous way she’s feelin’ about Reign–a brother who’s married, just out of prison, and one strike away from lockdown-for-life. He’s a past master of the game, and Kreesha can’t get enough of his body or heart. But when Reign betrays her to the Feds, she’ll risk everything to save her empire and give Reign one last seduction–with a bullet…

Keeping My Enemies Close
KIKI SWINSON

Larissa Taylor is fed up with lying, cheating men. Her best friend Tenisha’s suggestion: try a guaranteed-to-be-faithful brother in prison. But Sean Miller is one thug-a-licious addiction. So, when a sex-struck Larissa is caught smuggling weed for Sean, she’s the one who winds up behind bars. Now, Tenisha’s got Larissa’s man and baby. But Larissa is ready to go beyond even street justice to make sure her ex-friend and cheating man get the ultimate payback…

MY Thoughts on Sleeping With The Enemy:

I enjoyed reading this novel. There’s nothing better than being able to match a face with the characters you’re reading about. Kreesha & Larissa were both young, intelligent women, BUT when it comes to relationships? Dumb! ….I won’t go too far into detail, but it kept my attention, and had me talking aloud! :)

I recommend Sleeping With the Enemy to anyone who likes reading Love/Hate novels; plus it’s not only 1 novel, but  two, so you basically have a 2-in-1 deal. Pow!
