I don’t know how many of you actually tune into A&E’s Beyond Scared Straight, but its a pretty good show. It’s centered around troubled teens who need a reality check, so they actually take these kids to a prison where they pretty much experience what it truly feels like to be locked up. Anyway, on the most recent episode, they show a 13 year old who thinks she’s a “gangster”. Check out what she ~~does~~ attempts to do to this officer….

Chillllle, these children today are just ratchet. That officer should’ve laid her lil tail slap OUT!

Daughter of Kandi’s Late Fiance Shot

Asheley Jewell, the daughter of the late A.J. Jewell (former fiance’ of RHOA Star Kandi Burruss) was shot in the back of the head Saturday, while riding in a car. Investigators believe the shooting occurred due to road rage.

A 15-year-old Stone Mountain girl was in critical condition Monday at Grady Memorial Hospital. Asheley Jewell was riding in a car with friends Saturday night when police say someone from another vehicle opened fire.

Investigators said Jewell was riding in a car with friends on Old National Highway when another vehicle started chasing the car. Someone in the vehicle opened fire on the car Jewell was riding in, shooting the teen in the back of the head.

Jewell was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said road rage may be a possible motive in the case.

Jewell is the daughter of the late A.J. Jewell, the man who died after a fight outside an Atlanta strip club . Jewell was the one-time fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, Kandi Burruss. – Source

R.I.P. Magnolia Shorty

You know we live in a crazy world when people start gunning down females. Rapper Magnolia Shorty of New Orleans was murdered yesterday, and some say she was shot at least 26 times, while reports only state “multiple” gun shot wounds.

Monday at about 4 p.m., the first ripples on Twitter began to spread, saying local rapper Magnolia Shorty was the 28-year-old woman who was murdered earlier today in a double homicide in eastern New Orleans.

Within half an hour, the name “Magnolia Shorty” became a trending topic, and a little after 5 p.m., DJ Wild Wayne made an announcement on the air on the hip-hop and R&B station Q93.3FM. “If y’all haven’t heard, Magnolia Shorty was killed today,” he said. “I’m just astonished. I need to get my head together for a minute.”

The Orleans Parish coroner’s office had not released the names of the shooting victims by Monday evening, so there is no official confirmation from police or the coroner’s office that Shorty was killed.

A Facebook tribute page called “Magnolia Shorty Got Killed by a Smoking Gun” was created late Monday afternoon as well.
The shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of Bridgehampton Drive, police said. Officers found a man and a woman, 28, shot inside a car that had crashed into the gates of an apartment complex.

Additional details on the shooting were not immediately available. Both victims had been shot several times, according to police. They were dead at the scene, police said.

Born Renetta Lowe, Magnolia Shorty signed to Cash Money Records in the early 90′s. She was brought to the attention of label owners Bryan “Baby” and Ronald “Slim” Williams by members of the Hot Boys supergroup, who had been her childhood playmates and friends growing up in the Magnolia Project.

Shorty released her first CD on the label in 1995. Most recently, she had a pair of local club hits in a row with “Smoking Gun,” a remix of the Jadakiss song, last year, as well as this year’s “My Boy,” a collaboration with R&B singer and newly signed Jive Records artist Kourtney Heart. Magnolia Shorty performed frequently with rapper and R&B singer Ms Tee, the only other woman signed to the Cash Money label. – Source

Mario Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting His Mother

Yesterday, singer Mario was recently arrested for allegedly assaulting his own Mother, Shawntia Hardaway.

According to police, Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway — a former heroin addict — told cops the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant had been “throwing and damaging property” … and pushed her around with his hands and forearms.

Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment — including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.

Mario’s mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week — in which he pushed her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”

Mario — real name Mario Dewar Barrett — was eventually arrested this morning for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond. – Source

Its a well known fact that Mario & Hardaway have had a past troubling relationship, because she is a former heroin addict (shown on the MTV documentary “I Won’t Love You to Death: The Story of Mario and His Mom.” ), so there’s no telling what caused this situation to occur. I’ll post more news when I find out.

Just Terrible: 13 Year Old Shot 22 Times

I wasn’t planning to do any posts until next week, but THIS story needed to be posted…

A neighbor in the 11500 block of South Perry Avenue said he saw a gunman stand over Robert Freeman and continue firing into the boy’s body shortly after 8 p.m.

“They said they found 22 holes in my baby’s body,” said the boy’s mother, Theresa Lumpkin as she was comforted by the boy’s father in front of her house.

The boy’s father said the gunman wore a mask and fired into a crowd. “My son was the only one got hit,” said Robert Freeman Sr. “I don’t understand how no one seen anything.”
This morning, Lumpkin walked down the block to the spot where her son was killed, marked with dark red blood.

“My baby was just lying there. He tried to get up. He tried to fight for his mama. He tried to fight for his life,” Lumpkin said.

She said Robert was leaning against a car with friends when he was shot, and believes her son’s death was case of mistaken identity. She said he had only lived on the block for three months.

She said her son was going to be an eighth grader at Oglesby Elementary School and was spending the summer playing basketball in his backyard and riding his bicycle with other kids.

Lumpkin said he was mowing lawns to make a little extra cash.

Freeman Sr. said his son “had the biggest smile you’d ever see on a child. (It) hurts right now, hurts.”

Robert was pronounced dead at 10:09 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody this morning. Calumet Area detectives were investigating.

Why in the world is a 13 year old being shot 22 times? Yes, I said a thirteen year old CHILD was shot twenty-two times.. I don’t know what this baby did, but he didn’t deserve to die that way…. This is the type of world WE live in, folks!

Here’s the story: Lil 2 year old girl makes an accident on the floor. Mama’s boyfriend beats the child with a shoe to “teach her a lesson”.. Mother noticed that the child is hurt, eyes fluttering, and throwing up but she does nothing..

End result: Baby Dies..

I hadn’t heard anything about these recent shootings in Chicago, until I signed into Twitter today. Over 40 people have been shot in the past 2 days, and at least 4 are dead. I saw a new Trending Topic: #PartOfTheProblem had been started by Comedian, Lil Duval.

Sad… but true. It’s time we tighten up folks.
